Got my measuring stick out and measured Royal. He is currently 41 in. So he won’t be a Amazon. Should make 13 hh. Buck was 12.3 hh as a 2 yr old, I need to remeasure him, I think he’s 13.2 or 13.3 as a 4 yr old.

Our new guy has arrived! He is a 2009 Curly pony. Black and very Curly. He is a bit nervous, but is catching on quickly. We did a bit of ground work with no troubles.
GoodBye Madonna
Found Madonna dead this a.m. She had seemed fine yesterday. Poor old mare, I hope she finds peace. She was my last charity case. The number of unwanted horses just seems to never stop rising. Think before you breed, please!
Changes
Biting the bullet and going back to college in May. Cutting back on herd, *Abracadabra & *August Rush will be for sale. They have come so far from scared yearlings. Going to revamp blog to simplify it to just my driving Curlies.
Spring Nerves
Wormed Piper & the minis today with Ivermectrin. I have Quest plus for Buck, Skeeter & Mouse. I always use a weight tape. Piper is looking good but no signs yet on if she is carrying Buck’s foal. I guess I’ll know in March. I’m getting nervous.
3rd shift blues
Wet, and warm, 40s sloppy and muddy. I’m yet again up at a time that most people are snoozing. Wish I had that nice indoor arena to play in. Though I’m sure Buck would be confused why I stay up all noc.
Mini Measures
Rain, ice, rain, ice. Been slick out. Measured River and Raine, they are both 30 in. So I’m thinking they will make 34 in. maybe more. They sure are fuzzy, no getting cold for them.
HAIR AND TSHIRTS
Handed my oldest son the scissors and he cut off my braid. 12 in.Why? To donate to locks of love. I don’t miss it, it was heavy, it will grow back. But maybe it will help someone smile. Also got my RAC Tshirt today, thanks Denise!!
What happened to helping because it’s needed?
Haiti-I’ve heard over and over again how poor they are…my question is, why does it take a earthquake for us to help? Why is it so much better to say “I went to New Orleans” or other big diaster vs. EVERDAY help? It sickens me that news coverage=help.

Well the best intentions… dryer died so had to go buy new one. (yet another payment) So as I’ve worked on St. Laundry Mtn, did manage to punch holes in Buck’s harness. Hard tellin’ when I’ll be able to to use it, gotta werk tonight.
